The Challenge

Dr Robert Kay and Carmen Elrick worked closely with the Secretariat of the Pacific Regional Environment Programme (SPREP) to develop the Monitoring and Evaluation framework for the Second Edition of the Pacific islands framework for action on climate change (PIFACC) 2006–2015.  The work is the latest project for our team with a long-standing track record of working on climate change adaptation in the Pacific.

The Second Edition of the PIFACC was launched during the 22nd SPREP Meeting, in Apia 12-15 September.  The SPREP meeting is the annual SPREP members meeting.  SPREP members are drawn from 25 Pacific Island Countries and territories of American Samoa, Cook Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, Fiji, French Polynesia, Guam, Kiribati, Marshall Islands, Nauru, Niue, Northern Mariana Islands, Palau, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tokelau, Tonga, Tuvalu, Vanuatu, Wallis and Futuna. and Australia, NZ, France and United States of America.
 
Dr Netatua Pelesikoti, manager of SPREP’s Climate Change Programme said:
